PARIS!!

Finally my last destination in Europe, Paris!! Paris is one of my favourite cities in Europe beside London.. I hope i have the chance to go back again!!

We first went for the free new europe tour and went to sight see local attractions, we then decide to pick those few that we want to further sightsee such as Champs Elysées, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Louvre and my dream The Eiffel Tower! And not forgetting to help my mum n bro to buy stuff from Louis Vuitton!!

And of cuz the reason for going in to The Louvre was to see the Mona Lisa! heehee!

We manage to catch The Eiffel Tower in the night and went v early the next morning to buy the ticket to reach the top of Eiffel Tower! It was so windy that we had to practically run around the tower to take photos!!

We also went to Chateau de Versailles but we did not go into the Palace cuz the queue is too long=(

The last night we went to Moulin Rouge and had dinner nearby, the beer 1664 is really nice!!

Overall, i would say that the whole exchange is a memorable experience and is something that i will cherish forever. =)

Rome

I had graduated from NUS!! having mixed feelings about it... ok i shall blog about my Rome trip! i spend my christmas in Rome and it is my first time spending xmas in a church.

The next day we decide to visit the Vatican City! and we manage to see the Pope, so lucky rite?! and he wished everyone merry xmas in various languages!too bad the museums are closed on xmas =( and the pizzas in Vatican City is really nice and they will weigh the pizzas and charge it accordingly.

We also visited the tourist attractions like Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps and many more!

For the next post, i will talk about my favorite city... PARIS!!!

Venice

Suppose to be studying for test tmr but decide to rest awhile and continue blogging my year end trip! this post will be about Venice! Venice is a rather small but beautiful country, a pity is the foggy weather when we were there.=(

When we reach Venice, it was quite late le so we decided to pamper ourselves with gd food and wine! but we realise that the wine the waiter recommended is twice the price in the super market! hahahah! Also, we decided to endure the cold so as to enjoy the "atmosphere" besides the river. I think it was due to the cold weather, I feel that the pasta was like the best pasta i have eaten in my life! (maybe cuz pasta originate from Italy ba! hahahah)

The next day, we took the boat taxi as the main transport in Venice is boat. Again, we went to the outdoor to see the scenery but i think the locals were thinking we are mad cuz it was so freaking cold! i rem one guy even hand signal to me telling me that it is better to stay inside!hahahah! and we went to the main attraction of Venice which is the St Mark's Square! of cuz there will be a lot of vendors selling masks and i manage to buy one for my bro=)

I would say Venice will be a great place to really relax and look at the beautiful scenery and enjoy the laid back european life!=)

Next up will be rome!=)

Barcelona

Finally i have some time to update my blog! im back in singapore on 31 dec! life has been very very stressed back in NUS! with tons of projects and readings!=( ok i shall forget about all the stress for awhile and write about my year end trip!

I shall first write about my trip in Barcelona! it was so sunny and the weather was very good! i met my fren, joey to tour Barcelona, Venice, Rome and Paris.

The first day in Barcelona, we went to take cable car up to a palace on the hilltop! from there, one can see the whole view of Barcelona! it was really beautiful!=)

The next day, we woke up early in the morning and went to see Gaudi's building. We took lift to the top of the building and the view was awesome!

Then, we went to world trade center, Picasso museum and shop at La Rambls which is like orchard road in singapore. We also try the local delights - tapas and the pictures are seen below:

Gothenburg

Last weekend, mh yh n i went to Gothenburg for a short tour! mh n i went to visit edwin while yh went to visit her fren winnie.

Our first stop was the famous Botanical Garden! The scenery was v nice! and it looks kind of different as the whole place was covered with snow=) We manage to climb to the top to have a gd view of the city!

Den of cuz we head to SHOPPING! Gothenburg realli has alot of shopping centers! we went to the biggest shopping center in Scandinavia - Nordstan. I would say that the size of this biggest shopping center will be Singapore's vivocity...hahaha! but better than nothing la! esp in Lund where there is no shopping center!!

And then we head to Liseberg which is also the biggest amusement park in Scandinavian! It was so beautiful with all the Christmas lighting! remind mi of moi previous yr trip to US Disneyland!!

There are also Christmas market inside Liseberg but it was so cold until all our feet are frozen!!! mh n i den decide to try our luck for the 2kg worth of Swedish choco! there are 100 numbers to choose from, and each consecutive 5 numbers cost 20KR and they will spilt the wheel and there will be one number chosen! we are so close to winning la!!!

Snowing in Lund!

It is snowing in Lund!! Last thurs, sam, yh, darren n I saw flurries and we immediately came out of our hostel and start playing and taking photos with the flurries! Flurries are more like ice instead of snow so it can be alittle pain when suddenly there is alot of ice falling on you.

It was a pity we misses the first snow on Fri cuz mi n mh went to Gothenburg. But i get to see the real snow yest!! And as usual mi n sam went out to take photos! cuz it was in the day so cant realli see the snow in the pic =(

Last week went to town with sam again! if not both of us will be busy travelling!

And we went to our fav dagen place again!

Looks like my face become fatter!!!

And of cuz after the main course, we will look for another cafe to have desserts! HAHA!!

And finally we tried Swedish chocoball! it is choco with coconut, take a look below:

There is so much variety of pastries until i dunnoe which one shld i choose!!

Auntie Grace has been feeding mi n sam with wonderful meals la! look at the pic!

she can really open restaurant! the kalpudding is so nice and the tandoori chicken even more shiok!!

And of cuz i also cook nice lunches! And recently i really love the pastries from the ICA supermarket! so i will buy them after my early lessons cuz ICA v near business sch!

And finally we decided to use my seasoning for herbal chicken! if not by then i can bring back spore! but the waiting time for the chicken to be ready is realli long!!

And yest mi n mh decided to have western food! and i suddenli rem what moi mum taught mi! to put honey on the pork and bake it in oven! and it realli taste superb!we also have garlic bread and fries! yummy!

Recently the weather abit gloomy=( and the weather forecast for this weekend is... SNOW!!

This friday mi and mh will be heading to gothenburg to look for our fren, Edwin! hope it is fun! and hope we can go to the Christmas party in Liseberg amusement park!=)

Yest nite me and mh was invited to audwin's dinner at Sparta. The food was really great!!! we have pineapple rice, salmon, pasta, red wine chicken and cabbage!

The smu bunch are realli friendly and nice to tok to =)

Today mi and mh cooked the chinese vegetable we bought from malmo!

Life in Lund

So long never blog le... have been busy with school for 2 weeks la! cuz of all the take home exam and written test! So have been staying in lund since i came back from dublin=)

And of cuz have been cooking and eating all the nice food:

And after the business policy, me, sam and mh went to town and have dagen and visit the famous Lund Cathedral.

We went to the AF building and bought the Lund University pullover! i also bought a cap for my dad! =)

And finally i received my new furniture! I have a new bed and it was so much thicker until my present bedsheet cant fit la! so shiok! they also gave mi new chair, table and shelves!

And on Tuesday, we have potluck! The food was realli nice!! And i really enjoy myself! Thanks everyone!

Recently, the sky turn dark ard 430pm. =( And seems like winter is coming soon cuz it is getting colder and COLDER until i have to start wearing my trenchcoat le...

We went Malmo yest and went to eat IKEA's meatball! finally i get to eat it la cuz the previous visit it was sold out! but somehow i dun realli like the taste of meatball.. but the cake was gd!

Recently have been watching ming zhong zhu di wo ai ni! it is so nice!! can make ppl cry n laugh at the same time!! have been a long time nv watch such a nice drama series le! strongli recommend to drama series lover!!

Time really passes so fast! in less than 2 mths time i will be back le!=) guess i will miss the laid back life in Lund when i go back NUS! but of cuz right now i realli miss my dear family!!

Shopping with sam!

Finally im back to Lund and have sort of rest and settled down once again! and of cuz moi dear dinner buddies have "welcome party" dinner for mi!! hahahah!! And guess what?! i have a surprise from sam which she claims to be a small present but it is really huge to mi!! it is BAK KWA!!!! she gave mi like almost 100g of it la! Thanks sam's mum too! but by the time i take photo only left abit! hahahah!

Den the next day mi, mh and sam the dinner buddies decide to use our seasoning! cuz we keep saving it until maybe can bring back to spore liao!! hahaha!! and sam donate her bak kut teh seasoning! it was seriously v v v v v nice!!!

And today, mi n sam decide to go town for dagen(lunch) and shopping and also catch up with each other la(cuz ard a week nv meet cuz i went london and dublin). I decided to dress up a little after seeing how the ppl in london are dressed! and i get moi inspiration from candy!! hahahah!

Sam and I were in the bus when we saw a lot of shops having the word REA(SALE) until we get so excited!!! but we decided to eat first cuz we are really hungry!

Look at our dagen!! it is very yummy! it is fish with one mussel(quite pathetic) and mash potato!

Den we went shopping!!!! sam bought her fav shirt from vero moda at a 50% discount!! while i bought alot of hello kitty stuff for my mum, relatives and friends from H&M and most of them have 50%!! And i bought a boot which the price drops from 580sek to 199 sek!!!!

After that we decide to go for coffee break! and i brought sam to moi fav place!

Really have a great time with sam la!! and after dinner, sam gave mi san za!!

She really like a doraemon hor! gt so many treasures one!hahahah!! And sam told mi n mh that her aunt has marinated chicken thigh for each of us for dinner tmr!! feel so blessed la! and her aunt like has telepathy with mi! cuz once i was thinking to have bee hoon den she cooked bee hoon! den today i was telling sam that i want to eat chicken thigh for dinner and den her aunt happen to prepare for us!! so qiao!! sam n her aunt are just like my relatives here in sweden la!! hahaha!! so happy!!=)

Dublin

And from london, i flew to Dublin (Ireland) with yh and darren!

And we visited a few attractions in the city center:

And of cuz we wun miss out GUINNESS! and i even have a certificate for THE PERFECT PINT! hahahah! i only manage to finish half of the beer cuz quite bitter!

And we also went to Jameson Irish Whiskey! i tried the whiskey with coke and whiskey with cranberry juice! it is so much better than drinking the plain whiskey! heehee!

And we went to Howth which is out of town, it is really beautiful! i ate the famous fish & chips!( seems like this is the 3rd fish& chip i have since london trip) there are even seal in the harbour!!

And of cuz i have a hard time walking on the rocky stones!

We even bought fresh fishes back to cook!yummy!

And most imptly, i want to thank moi bro fren Juimin! thanks to him we have a housing that is right in the centre of town which makes travelling so much easier! his apartment really looks like a hotel and he even buy breakfast for us! thanks juimin!=)

I shall blog about my London trip! Last Tuesday i went to London to look for CANDY!! hahahah! never will i imagine moiself to visit candy in London la!

This is candy's house in London! She stayed with other 3 fren in the hse:

Candy even lent mi her clothes to wear cuz when i go over it was surprisingly very sunny!!

Candy also brings mi ard her sch - Goldsmiths University of London

even though she keep nagging at mi for wasting her money to visit the tourist attraction again, she still bring mi to the various tourist attraction! realli v nice of her to bring mi to visit all the places again! thanks candy!

And the places are Big Ben, House of Parliament(harry potter fly by in the movie), Trafalgar square, Piccadilly's circus, Camden town, Hanley's(the super big 5 storey toy shop!) This are the places we cover in the first day!

We have alot of great food as well! roast duck rice, chicken rice, and moi fav dim sum(thanks mum for the treat!), bo luo bao, egg tart in london's chinatown! their chinatown realli have everything!! and they even sell milo in supermarket!

I also have a super pretty cupcake from portbello market, crepes at south keningston park and the real english breakfast meal!

Overall, i really like london and have a great time! and it really feels good to see candy again! at least after this trip, i know that our friendship are still strong! thanks candy!=)

Today went for my fav coffee break with mh again!!

Before i came here, i really dun like coffee but i start to love latte ever since Auntie Grace bought the Nescafe instant latte for mi!

We went to our fav Ramhlints Cafe and I have apple pie and latte!!

But coffee breaks are ex! for a latte and apple pie cost ard 20 sing la! even the vanilla cream for the apple pie need money!

The food looks good rite?? i cooked the mushroom and chicken leh!hahaha!! Sam cooked the asam long bean and carrot while mh cooked the onion egg!

But of cuz the highlight is the long bean with asam chili!!

Amsterdam

Back from Amsterdam!! It is a place full of drugs, sexy girls, wooden clogs and windmills! Everywhere is coffeeshop selling drugs legally wor! We went for the red light district tour and was v shocked about the openness of red light district! They will wear bikini or even lesser and stand inside a room with glass door, if you like the girl u can knock on the door and negotiate for the prices! So sad i couldnt take a picture of the girls for u all to see as it is not allowed... but u all shld really go Amsterdam and take a look at the red light district! heehee!!

Ok shall move on, we went to the wooden clog factory.Look at the amt of wooden clog they have in the shop:

For our hostel, we live at a place called lucky lake. Of cuz it is situated next to the lake and the scenery is beautiful!

A Taste of Belgium...

Last Thursday, we went to Belgium! A place full of waffles, choco and beers! The thing i love most about Belgium will be the people! Especially the owners of the guest house "A Taste of Belgium". They are really friendly and make you feel back to home! The hostel is really nice and the breakfast they prepared was excellent! They even offer us beers at night! Make me feel really sad when it is time to leave the hostel! Anyone planning to go Brussels rem not to miss staying at "A Taste of Belgium"!

mooncake festival...

today is mooncake festival!! but it is so hard to find mooncake here in lund!!! sad sad! and the worst is i fall sick on such a day! so mi n mh decide to pamper ourselves and head to town!! but who knows it is SUNDAY!! so most of the shops are close on Sunday! hahahah!!! in the end we decide to eat at a Vietnam restaurant and the food is gd and reasonable price:

Today is exactly one month we have been in Sweden! mean i onli left 4 mths here le... so fast! Went to Copenhagen last weekend, it was fun but tiring think im getting old liao la! hahahah!!

Our first stop is of cuz Hard Rock Cafe! went to buy my bro shot glass and also continuing the pin collection started by him! hahahah!

Den we head to Carlsberg Brewery! they like own the own mini town la! cuz go every direction is also their logo!

Even the famous mermaid is wearing carlsberg top!

So after we each smell the type of ingredients we would like to have in our beer, i chose Jacobsen's Saaz Blonde! It taste quite nice and have a sweet taste so i keep drinking until i realise it is 7.1%! for someone like me who dun drink alcohol, it is quite high la!

So i decide to choose something light for the second beer: Carlsberg Light

After checking in to our hostel, we went to Ripley's Museum

This is something funny as u wun know there are ppl looking u at the other side when u try to make funny faces at the mirror!

Life in Lund

It has been almost a month since i left SG! How times flies man!Finally it's time to blog about my life in Lund!! Sch starts last week and I have on average 2 days school week! heehee! i guess the study life here is so much more slack compared to Singapore! Before the start of sch, i have 2 weeks of Swedish language lesson. I find it hard to pronounce the words as it requires the flexibility of the tongue! Den I sit for the exam for Swedish lang last sat, Really fast rite??

Last weekend went to sam's aunt hse in Malmo to stay over! it was really fun! thanks sam, auntie grace n uncle lars n rasmus!!

Right after the Swedish language exam, we dash to sam's aunt's fren Auntie Violet house for SG Club BBQ! The food is great!!! i mean super duper great!!! As we are too hungry, we forget to take photos of the pork chop, chicken wing, sausage and prawn and started eating!!

And for dessert, we have mooncakes!! and...

It was held in my kitchen cuz mine was the biggest:

Last Sunday, mi sam n mh join the sch excursion to Ystad! it is another town near Lund. But we reach Ystad before 12noon so the whole street is quiet and it was raining the whole day. :(

Rem i said that i will show u all the photos for the hostel in Berlin! i strongly recommend this hostel because it is really clean n cosy! maybe the photos dun look so but it is really v nice!

They have a cafe for cheap breakfast!!

And nxt to them is a very nice chinese restaurant called jasmine house. They even give us complimentary tea after knowing we can speak mandarin too!!

hey! it's time to blog about my room in Lund! finally i have sort of clean up everything le! rem when i first step into the toilet, it stinks to the max! there is alot of shit at the toilet bowl so i have to clean up all the mess! den around one week later they send a cleaner over to my room to clean up the toilet so it's even better now! heehee!!

Finally i get the photos from sam! heehee! thanks sam!!

I shall continue my Prague tour! we went to Petrin Hill and the flowers are so pretty!!!

Berlin tour

Ok shall blog about my Berlin tour first before continuing my Prague tour part 2 cuz most of moi pictures with sam:)

I love Berlin! the hostel was great! v clean and cozy! but again the photos with sam! hahahah!!

I love the history of Berlin and i would strongly recommend ppl who love history to come to Berlin! it is like what i have learnt in the textbook has come alive!

We went for a free Berlin tour and the tour guide George was great!! i guess he will be a v gd history teacher because he make the whole trip so interesting!

The next day we went for the concentration camp tour, it was kind of depressing and it was raining the whole day:

After this trip, the tour guide concludes with: " from this concentration camp, we should always remember not to let history repeat itself and to respect others regardless of race, religion, language or nationality."

Prague trip part 1

Ok shall blog about my Prague trip now! im too lazy to list down the places i visit in details so will just put pictures of my Prague trip.. heehee! i went to Prague for 5 days 4 nights but i reach Prague at night and leave Prague early in the morning so only left 3 full days to tour Prague. We stay in Hostel 123 and it was located near the red light district! so we kind of freak out when we reach there at night! and the room size was like a 4room HDB in Singapore so it was kind of too big for 5 of us! overall the hostel looks kind of scary as there is no lightwhen we walk up the old spiral staircase at night! Will try to find for the hostel photos from sam and upload it!

We went to a quite a number of tourist attraction places:

Finally settle down....

Finally I had settled down in Lund hostel!! it was kind of tiring but luckily i have the help from sam's aunt so everything went quite smooth! the room condition was quite bad when i move in as the whole room stink and the toilet bowl seems to be full of shit! so i was busy cleaning up the whole room yest.. the room is 20.2 square metres so it is considered quite big for a hostel and there is private toilet. When i have more time the next free days, i will take pictures of my room :) I will try to blog more about my trip to Prague and Berlin in my next post!

Finally pack my luggage today!! Really have a hard time trying to squeeze everything into the luggage! In the end i have to forgo some of the items..... Just make a few phone calls to my relatives to thank them for their big ang baos, I will make good use of them!!Later my friends and i will check in SQ online! hope can choose good seats tgt!! heehee!

Yesterday my dad brought me to have another fabulous meal! Think my parents worry i go there cant get use to the food there ba esp when i dun eat cheese!!

Counting down to Sweden....

Finally decide to set up a blog with the name swee-ter cuz swee stands for sweden and ter for teresa! Hope i will enjoy blogging! Four more days to Sweden, feeling kind of excited but abit not mentally prepared.

Been having a few farewell meals with family and friends:
